As a financial advisor for over 21 years as well as an active member of the local community, Thomas Sandkamp is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses build their financial futures and understand their true goals while evaluating current investment risk. To stay on top of his field and develop his professional skills, he regularly attends independent industry training and certification programs throughout the country. Thomas is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and holds the (AIF) designation.

While in the United States Army from 1987 – 1990 he was stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky, home of the 101st Airborne unit. His position or MOS was as a 67 Tengo, UH -60 crew chief mechanic/door gunner. While in Kentucky, Thomas attended the University of Kentucky and much later completed his degree at the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management. Thomas became interested in the financial sales field when he met a local Wealth Advisor from E.F. Hutton/ Shearson Lehman. He started to work with a team that created financial planning seminars for the retiring and relocating Lockheed employees in Burbank, California which  was relocating to Georgia. Around that same time  his father was laid off from Van De Kamp's Bakery with an unexpected company bankruptcy after 38 years of employment. Due to lack of planning and the Van De Kamp's owner's theft of the company retirement funds, Thomas's parents were left in a bad financial situation.

Fortunately, his father's Bakery and Confection pension was still there to help, but Thomas saw that the option given to his father for his pension would not provide for his mother in case of death, when all payments would stop. Thomas found a way to maximize his father's pension and protect his mother. From this point on, Thomas decided that he wanted to help people like his parents because at the time, only the very wealthy had a financial planner, not a baker, or cafeteria worker. Thomas offers his clients services and strategies to financial problems by using technology such as Wealth Vision and Riskalyze to construct an effective financial plan and analyze a portfolio for risk tolerance.

Maintaining a strong sense of community and a solid professional foundation are very important to Thomas. He is a member of the Claremont Masonic Lodge since 1999.He is also active in Siberian Husky rescue and fostering. Thomas also supports the local CHP 11-99 Foundation, as well as Voices for Children which his wife Amanda is a court appointed child advocate. Thomas and Amanda have 5 children, ages 10 to 34 in addition to 3 grandchildren. Thomas and Amanda enjoy RV travel, time with family, golf, shooting and trying new things.
